A message from Mrs Knoupe…

Dear Parents and Carers,

I just wanted to let you know how thrilled I am to be taking on the role of Headteacher in September. I have been so lucky to work with Mrs Steward these last 2 years and wish her all the best. I’d like to say a sincere goodbye to those parents and children who are leaving us in July; I’m sure I’ll bump into you on the High Street or Tescos (other supermarkets are available!) and wish you well for the future.

We will be welcoming a large number of new families in September and I’m excited to get to know everyone. We are also welcoming some new staff. We have three Learning Support Assistants joining us: Mr Howlett, Miss Baker and Miss Case and one class teacher, Mr George. Unfortunately, we are also saying a fond goodbye to Miss Redhead and Mr Coultrip who are moving on to new jobs and new adventures; we wish them luck.

I hope you all have a lovely summer break, however I’m pretty sure you will be doing what I’m doing at some point which will be buying new school shoes and school uniform (along with some new craze item). With this in mind, I thought it would be a good opportunity to remind everyone what the school uniform expectations are, see below.

We are very proud of the whole school appearance and hope that you will always ensure that your child arrives in school appropriately dressed in full school uniform.

DON’T FORGET TO LABEL IT or it will disappear into the great unknown!!

A few other reminders….

Hair/Headwear

Schools can sometimes have unwanted itchy visitors. In order to minimise their stay, hair that touches the shoulders (boys and girls), must be tied back with either red or black hair bands or an Alice band. Hair must not be dyed with a dye that is permanent (spray in dye for fancy dress is obviously fine and we understand can stain light hair but will wash out after a few washes).

Mobile Phones -Upper School children only (Years 5 and 6)

All mobile phones must be switched off on the school premises and handed to the class teacher for safe keeping during the school day.

School Dinners

The cost of school dinners is going up to £2.30 and the credit limit allowance is changing to £10.
