Newsletter 2nd December

I have been out a fair bit this week at playtime and lunchtime and I am happy to report that the new playtime rotas seem to be working well. I know it may take a few weeks for the children to know where to go and what’s on offer at break but a great start has been made.

Christmas is well and truly started with our lovely tree in the hall. I have been hearing lots of stories about Christmas lists and what the children would like from Santa. Our Christmas fair next Tuesday will be an opportunity to start your Christmas with a bang and perhaps win one of the great prizes on offer in the raffle.

Many of you will have noticed that Mrs Cleare hasn't been in school since March this year. Unfortunately Mrs Cleare has been unwell and she feels that she is unable to return to work at Whitstable Junior School. I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her years of service to the school and wish her all the very best for the future.

Mrs Cleare has asked me to let you all know that leaving Whitstable Junior School has not been an easy decision for her to make and she expresses her thanks and best wishes for the future to the staff, parents/carers and especially the children.

Have a good weekend , stay warm and I look forward to seeing you all on Monday. 23 sleeps.

Mrs Steward
