There are 270 pupils on role (December 2019).
The school follows the Local Authority (KCC) Admissions Policy.
In Term 2 parents will be invited to look around the school on an open day or on an individual or small group basis. Parents will be provided with a school information pack and there will be an opportunity to ask the Headteacher questions. Parents are then required to complete a preference form or Common Application Form (CAF) which is available online usually around October / November each year, for entry into Year 3 the following September. This form will invite parents to express three junior school preferences in priority order. Letters offering places at the school will then be sent to parents in the spring by the Local Authority.
Whenever this school is oversubscribed, the following admissions criteria will be employed:
- Children in Local Authority Care.
- Current Family Association – a brother or sister in the same school at the time of entry.
- Health and Special Access Reasons - children whose health or physical impairment means they have to attend a particular school.
- Geographical (nearness of child to home and access to the school).
We also welcome ‘casual’ admission applications throughout the academic year from families moving to the area or for other reasons. Parents/Carers are invited to make an appointment to visit the school for an informal meeting and tour in the first instance.
