How does a normal day at WJS work?

Gates open - 08:30.  Children come in by the back gate and say goodbye to their adult. 

 

Bell goes – 8:45.  The learning day starts with some fun early morning work to do.

Break: 11:.00 – 11:15 Lower School 11:15-11:30 Upper School. Fun in the playground, on the all-weather pitch, on the structure or in the Games Zone. There are all sorts of toys to play with in the Games Zone and Leanne or Nicola from the Well-Being Team are there too.

Assembly 11:15 – 11:30. Two times a week we have a whole school assembly and the rest of the week the children will have an assembly just for Lower School (Year 3 and 4). One of these assemblies will be a singing one.

Lunch: 12:30 - 1:25. Year 3 children go into the hall first to eat their lunch. They can have a school dinner or they can bring their own lunch from home. The children can sit on a table with their friends. After they have eaten the children go out to play in the playground.

Afternoon lessons start 1:25. Afternoon registration. More fun learning begins.

School finishes – 3:15. Children will go to the playground with their teacher and are collected by their adult.
