Outdoor Learning

The concept of outdoor learning has been around for a long time and emphasises the importance of learning through active, hands-on experiences in nature, which is believed to help children explore and develop their natural talents, connect with the environment, build self-esteem, experience success and enhance critical thinking and problem-solving.

Outdoor learning encourages exploration and deepens understandings of natural cycles, physical activities and environmental sustainability. This type of learning is also linked to improved academic performance.

Outdoor learning provides numerous benefits for both physical and mental health. It promotes physical activity, encourages exploration and creativity, facilitates relationship building with peers and adults, helps children learn to take risks and better understand consequences, and builds an appreciation for the natural world.
