On Tuesday 2nd October, Whitstable Junior School and our lovely year 6 team of children entertained some of the residents from Bradbury Grange. The lovely ladies joined us for tea and cakes and spent the afternoon chatting with our year 6 children. Many of the residents either had been previously involved in education or had actually been to school here or used the school as a meeting place, so they were full of nostalgia at coming back.
The afternoon was full of smiles and stories. All of the children and adults thoroughly enjoyed their afternoon and are looking forward to meeting again for our WW1 celebrations in November. One of the residents has even offered to write a school song for us.
We are looking forward to meeting with them again, and singing some of the well-known war songs together.
