Celebrating 20 Years of International Space Day
The children at Whitstable Junior School have been celebrating the anniversary of the International Space Station which has been in orbit for the last 20 years.
Our children are fascinated by the work that the astronauts do whilst in space and just what goes into becoming an astronaut and spending time in space.
In order to celebrate the amazing achievements of the astronauts and raise awareness of the fact that we have had the ISS orbiting earth for 20 years, we held Space Day this term, where children learnt about how to become an astronaut and what life might be like in Space.
Even our dedicated Science Lead, Beth Harris, went to meet Tim Peak to get a signed autograph of his book for school.
