There are 257 pupils on role (September 2020).
We have a Pupil Admission Number of 60.
The school follows the Local Authority (KCC) Admissions Policy.
Under normal circumstances in Term 2 parents and carers are invited to look around the school on an open day or on an individual or small group basis. Due to restrictions of Covid-19 we are unable to run our Open Events as usual. We are working to create a virtual open event experience for potential children and their parents. This page will be uploaded with more information shortly.
Once parents have made a decision about the schools they would like their child to attend they are then required to complete a preference form or Common Application Form (CAF) which is available online usually around October / November each year, for entry into Year 3 the following September. This form will invite parents to express three junior school preferences in priority order. Letters offering places at the school will then be sent to parents in the spring by the Local Authority.
Whenever this school is oversubscribed, the following admissions criteria will be employed:
- Children in Local Authority Care.
- Current Family Association – a brother or sister in the same school at the time of entry.
- Health and Special Access Reasons - children whose health or physical impairment means they have to attend a particular school.
- Geographical (nearness of child to home and access to the school).
We also welcome ‘casual’ admission applications throughout the academic year from families moving to the area or for other reasons. Parents/Carers are invited to make an appointment to visit the school for an informal meeting and tour in the first instance.
